Teething Veils - Canopy of Crimson
Canopy of Crimson, released on August 10, 2020, is DC-based chamber-folk outfit Teething Veils' fourth LP and fifth overall release with Etxe Records. The album captures some of the more intimate songs and barest arrangements that the band has recorded to date, made largely live in the studio.

The album was recorded and mixed at Tonal Park in Takoma Park, MD by Don Godwin of the bands Too Free, Clear Channel, Anna Connolly, and the Zlatne Uste Balkan Brass Band, and whose recording credits include Knife Wife, Flasher, and Park Snakes. The band has previously self-recorded, as well as recorded their third LP, Sea and Sun, with engineers Hugh McElroy and Kevin Erickson at Inner Ear in Arlington, VA. For Canopy of Crimson, the band opted to record with Don after hearing the tones and textures of Anna Connolly’s “After Thoughts” LP, which Don had recorded at Tonal Park.
Canopy of Crimson was recorded on February 1-2 and 5-6, 2020, prior to the quarantine
